“If we are awake to reality, do our dreams fall on sleeping ears?”

Indeed and sweeter still, for only blanketed in thick sleep do our ears hear those whispered dreams yet untainted by harsh reality.  The reality that we are wont to in waking is that plodding hard reality of the old.  Rather, dreams are those things of childlike trust still reflecting that soft side of reality that we often overlook for all the real pains that we see from day to day.  Is it not better then to remain with one ear awake and one asleep so that we are truly awake to reality; for we must be childlike in sleep and wise in waking to be able to see both sides of that same reality and thus be truly attuned to such things as we must in order to see with unclouded eyes the truth of this life.
